Blessed Edward Thwing Biography
Blessed Edward Thwing, the second son of Thomas and Jane Thwing. Studied at the English College in Reims, France, at the Jesuits in Pont-à-Mousson, France, and subsequently in Rome, Italy. In Reims rhetoric and logic are taught. Consecrated in December 1588 in Laon, France. Returned to England in 1597 to serve Catholics during a period of government persecution. He was arrested for being a priest and imprisoned with the blessed Robert Nutter. The two fled but were arrested again in May 1600 and executed a few weeks later. Martyr.
