Bl. Helwisa Biography
Bl. Helwisa was born to French nobility and married to Count Hugh of Meulan. She was widowed and donated a large part of her inheritance to the nearby Benedictine abbey. She remarried but soon was widowed again and decided to renounce earthly pleasures.
She spent the rest of her life as an anchoress in a cell under the basilica and the direction of the abbey in Coulombs but never joined the order.
