Blessed’s Biography
Blessed Imelda Lambertini was born as Maria Magdalena Lambertini in 1322 in Bologna in Italy. She was the daughter of Count Egano Lambertini and his wife and Castora Galuzzi. Imelda was a sensitive child and was favored by her family, and it was no surprise that she would become religious by nature.
Imelda learned to read at a very young age. she began to go to Mass and Compassion in the Dominican Church. Her mother taught her to sew and cook for the poor and went with her in charity. When she was nine years Imelda joined the Dominican Convent in Val di Pietra in Bologna in Italy. Imelda died on May 12, 1333, after immediately she received her first Communion.
