Blessed Luis Campos Górriz Life History
Blessed Luis Campos Górriz was born on June 30, 1905, in Valencia, Spain. His education began at the age of 7 under the guidance of Jesuits.
Between 1921 and 1926, he pursued studies in law and philosophy at the University of Valencia. While at university, he actively collaborated with Marian congregations. In 1930, he commenced his career as a lawyer.
Luis Campos Górriz entered matrimony with Carmen Arteche Echeturia in the Archdiocese of Valencia, Spain, on May 25, 1933, and together they became parents to a daughter.
He served as the General Secretary of Catholic Action in Madrid, Spain, in 1933. Tragically, he became a widower in 1935.
During the Spanish Civil War, he was martyred and met his end on November 28, 1936, at Picadero de Paterna in Valencia, Spain, holding a rosary in his hand. Pope John Paul II beatified him on March 11, 2001.
