Blessed María Angélica Pérez, also known as María Crescencia, Sister Dulzura or Sister Sweetness, was a religious nun. She was born on August 17 1897 in San Martín, Buenos Aires, Argentina and died on May 20 1932 in Vallenar, Atacama, Argentina. We celebrate her feast day on May 20 every year in the Catholic Church.

Blessed’s Biography
Blessed María Angélica was born to Spanish immigrants, grew up in a peasant family, and was considered a devout girl.
She joined the Daughters of Our Lady of the Garden on December 31, 1915, and made her vows on September 7, 1918. From 1924 to 1928, she was admitted to a tuberculosis hospital, where she worked closely with sick children.
When her own health began to suffer, she was taken to a hospital in Vallenar, Chile, where she gave many patients joy, comfort, and the teachings of God.
She died on May 20, 1932, in Vallenar, the Atacama, Argentina of natural causes.
