Blessed Mary Magdalene Martinengo Biography

Blessed Mary Magdalene Martinengo, born in to Italian nobility. Her mother died when Mary was five months old; The color of a mother touched her deeply and led to intense religious devotion and prayer. At the age of 18 she joined the poor Capuchin friars of Santa Maria della Neve in Brescia (Italy). In 1706 she declared that she had spent the rest of her life in the monastery. Recognized in the monastery for holiness and prayer life. Twice priority and served as a new lover for several years. Acting to promote devotion to the crucified Christ, they used their own example to promote penitence and personal sacrifice for the Lord.
