Blessed’s Biography
Bl Silao was born at the beginning of the eleventh century as a royal lineage.
He was first a secular priest and then dressed in the Benedictine habit. Silao later became the bishop of an important and still unknown Irish office, but because of the arrogance of a local lord, he was forced to go to Rome.
He died on the road while returning to Ireland. The Benedictine Order celebrates him on May 21st.
