Blessed Wincenty Matuszewski was born in 1869 and was a priest in the Diocese of Wloclawek in Poland.
He was a parish priest in the church in Osieciny, an exemplary shepherd who served his church with great endurance and willingness to sacrifice.
Wincenty was arrested by German policemen on the night of May 23, 1940, along with his chaplain, Blessed Josef Kurzawa. Later they were murdered by Nazi for the crime of being a Catholic priest.
