St. Paul Miki Biography
St. Paul Miki was born to a wealthy family as the son of a Military leader Handayu Miki. He had an early calling to religious life. Paul joined the Jesuit college at Azuchi and Takatsuki.
When the political climate became hostile to Christianity, he chose to continue with his ministry but was arrested. On his way to martyrdom, he was arrested among other imprisoned Christians. His last sermon was done from the cross.
