Blessed’s Biography

Bl. Jakub Pankiewicz was born in Nagorzanach, Poland, on July 9, 1882. The Friars received him in the Province of the Immaculate Conception in 1900. He made his solemn profession on 24 February 1904. Ordained a priest in 1906. He built the Minor Seminary in the industrial city of Lots and was one founder of the Congregation of the Antonian Sisters of Christ the King. He was arrested on October 10, 1941, in the Nazi persecutions of the Church.
