Bl. Andrea Carlo Ferrari Biography
Andrea Carlo Ferrari was educated in the seminary of Parma, Italy and was ordained on December 20, 1873. He later became the coadjutor Bishop of Fornovo di Taro, Italy on July 4, 1874. he was the vice-head of Parma seminary and a professor in Mathematics and physics in 1875. Andrea was later promoted to be the head of Parma seminary in 1877.
He became a professor of fundamental theology and moral theory in 1878 and became the Bishop of Guastalla, Italy on 29 May 1890. He was later transferred to be the Bishop of Como, Italy on 29 May 1891 and was made cardinal on MAy 18, 1894. Andrea chose the middle name Carlo in honor of Saint Charles Borromeo.
