Biography

Blessed Andreas Ebersbach was a Premonstratensian monk. A canon at the monastery in Teplá, Bohemia (modern day Czech Republic). Became Abbot of Teplá in 1599 AD, where he served for the next 30 years. Bl. Andreas was well known for his strict obedience to the rule of his order. Also praised by diocesan authorities because of his work as a Christian apologist and catechist. Born 1554 AD in the Czech Republic. Worked there and on July 3, 1629, died there. His beatification and canonization records have not been found yet.
