Biography
Blessed Anne Mary Javouhey, girl of a well off rancher, she grew up during the French Revolution, and saw her family chance everything by concealing priests. Devout young lady who needed to dedicate herself to showing youngsters and helping poor people. In 1800 she had a dream in Besançon where she was encompassed by a gathering of dark kids, however did not comprehend it at the time.
In 1807, she and eight companions at Cabillon began the gathering that would turn into the Congregation of Saint Joseph of Cluny, which was officially established in 1812 when the gathering obtained an old friary at Cluny to demonstration of mother-house. The gathering was committed to educating, and before long wound up popular for its imaginative strategies. Anne set up houses in Europe, Africa, and South America.
In 1834 the French government sent her to French Guiana where she was to show 600 Guianan slaves who were going to get their opportunity.
