Blessed’s Biography
Blessed Arcangelo Canetoli was an Italian Catholic priest and a member of Santa Maria di Reno church. Canetoli fled the massacre of his parents and relatives who were killed in Bologna. He accepted religious life and ordained as the Archbishop of Bologna and Archbishop of Florence.
Life
Bl. Arcangelo Canetoli was born in 1460 by one of the noblest families of Bologna. His family held responsible for the death of Annibale Bentivoglio and massacred. As a child, Arcangelo saved himself thanks to fortuitous circumstances. On September 29, 1484, he entered the canons regular of Santa Maria di Reno and later ordained to the priest in 1498.
In 1498 Arcangelo asked and got the transfer to the monastery of Sant’Ambrogio di Gubbio. He lived for the rest of his life at the monastery. Later appointed vicar of San Daniele in Monte near Padua, where he remained until 1509.

He died on April 16 1513 in Gubbio, Italy of an intense fever.
