Biography
Blessed Bernard of Baden, destined to the nobility. Child of Margrave Jacob of Baden and Catherine de Lorraine. Grandson of St. Margaret of Bavaria. Beneficiary to the title Margrave of Baden, he revoked it to turn into the individual emissary of Emperor Frederick III. Attempted to support poor people, spending generally from his own assets. Attempted to bring together the European courts behind a Crusade against the Turks, and kicked the bucket while out and about in that work.
