Blessed’s Biography
Blessed Christophe Lebreton was the seventh of twelve children. In 1974 he joined the Trappist. Later he moved in 1987 to the monastery Tamié in Algeria. In 1990 he was ordained a priest. Served as novice master of his community. Christophe was one of the seven monks in Tibhirine’s Atlas Abbey in Algeria, who were abducted during the night of 26-27 March 1996 during the civil war in Algeria. They were detained for two months and then murdered because they were Christians.
