Blessed’s Biography

Blessed Christopher Robinson studied in Douai and Rheims, France beginning in 1590. Robinson returned to England in September 1592 to preach to the minister in the areas of Cumberland and Westmoreland. Robinson witnessed the martyrdom of Saint John Boste and published an account of it. He was arrested on March 4, 1597, for the crime of being a priest. Robinson was killed for his crime by been hanged on August 19, 1598, at Carlisle, England.
