Biography

Blessed Francisco de Magalhães, Jesuit novice. A missionary. Martyred by the Huguenot Jacques Sourie while on the way to Brazil. Among a band of forty Spanish, Portugese and French Jesuit preachers martyred by the Huguenot privateer Jacques Sourie while in transit to Brazil. Drowned on July 15, 1570, by being tossed off the ship Santiago close Palma, Canary Islands. No other information about them has made it to date.
