Bl. Francisco Tomás Serer was born on 10 October 1911 AD in Alcalalí, Alicante, Spain. He was the son of Antonio and Dolores. He studied with Capuchin tertiaries. Tomás also joined the Capuchin Tertiary Fathers and Brothers of Our Lady of Sorrows in 1928 AD.
