Biography

Blessed Hatto of Ottobeuren was born into Swabian nobility. When he came of age he gave all his property to the Benedictine abbey at Ottobeuren, where he also joined as a monk. He later left to become a hermit but was called back into his community by his abbot. After his abbot discoverd his seclution was an excuse to be on his prperty.
