Bl. Hugh Faringdon Biography

Bl. Hugh Faringdon was an Abbot in Reading, England in 1520 AD. Royal chaplain, member of Parliament and close friend of King Henry VIII. When he split with Rome and ordered the dissolution of religious houses, Hugh refused to surrender his abbey. He was convicted and murdered.
