Biography
Blessed Ignatius de Azevedo, Joined the Jesuits at Coimbra, Portugal on December 28, 1548. A priest. Rector of the Jesuit school at Lisbon, Portugal. Jesuit common for Portugal. Rector at Broja. Pioneer of a band of forty Spanish and Portugese Jesuit evangelists martyred by the Huguenot privateer Jacques Sourie while on the way to Brazil. No other information about them has survived to this day.
