Biography
Blessed Juan de Las Varillas, Mercedarian monk. Missionary. During the expedition to Honduras in 1524 he was counselor and chaplain to Hernán Cortés. Although he was unable to gain a foothold, Juan brought many Aztecs to Christianity.
