Blessed’s Biography
Blessed Kristian Hosius was born in the late 15th century in the Netherlands. He joined the premonstratens canon in 1519 at the monastery of Tongerlo, Westerlo, Flanders modern Belgium. Kristian Hosius became a canon in the monastery in Tongerlo, Belgium. Later he became the chapel in Roosendaal, a parish priest in Vissenaken, in Tongerlo and on April 16, 1527, Kristian Hosius returned to Roosendaal as a parish priest. He was called “the father of the poor.” He died on January 8, 1570, of natural causes.
