Biography
Blessed Manuela de Jesús Arias Espinosa, fifth of eight children in her family. A nun, when she entered the Hail Mary Monastery in Los Angeles, California, in 1929, she made her eternal vow on December 14, 1933, and led a monastic life. Founder of the Congregations of the Poor Clare Missionary Sisters of the Bl. Sacrament in August 1945 in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico; In 1949 and 1951 it received the papal approval. Founder of the missionary Christ for the universal Church. At the time of her death, she has targeted 36 mission houses in 14 countries. Over 6,000 of her writings have survived.
