Bl. María del Carmen Viel Ferrando Biography
Bl. María del Carmen Viel Ferrando was serving as a laywoman in the Archdiocese of Valencia, Spain. She was baptized at the age of 2 days and made her first communion on 24 April 1904 in her home parish, Saint Peter the Apostle.
She studied sociology and worked with young people where she brought the Salesian Sisters to the region in 1931 to assist in educating young people. She was devoted in prayer and the Eucharistic adoration, praying the Holy Rosary on a daily basis. She was killed during the Spanish Civil War.
