Blessed’s Biography
Blessed María Felicia Guggiari Echeverria was born in Villarica del Espiritu Santo, Guairá, Paraguay, on 12 January 1925. She was the first-born daughter of the wealthy seven children of Ramón Guggiari and Arminda Echeverría. Her parents baptized her in the cathedral of Villarrica on 28 February 1928. At five she enrolled in the preschool course of the “Mary Help of Christians” school, where she attended elementary school and learned the elements of faith.

María Felicia enthusiastically joined the Catholic Action at sixteen in Paraguay. María Felicia had a special friendship with Ángel Sauá Llanes, majoring in Medicine and a member of Catholic Action like her, who confided her desire to become a priest. After meeting Mother Teresa Margherita of the Sacred Heart, she began to understand what her vocation was.
At thirty, she entered the Carmelite convent of Asunción and took the name of Sister Maria Felicia of Jesus Sacrament. In January 1959 he discovered he was suffering from infectious hepatitis.
María Felicia Death
She died on April 28, 1959, at the age of 34. His mortal remains rest from April 28, 1993, in the chapel of the Carmel of Asunción.
