Blessed Metoděj Dominik Trčka was born on 6 July 1886 at Frýdlant nad Ostravicí, Ostravský (modern Czech Republic). He was a Redemptorist, making his profession on 25 August 1904 AD.
He was also a Priest, ordained in Prague (in the modern Czech Republic) on 17 July 1910 AD. Dominik worked in parish missions. He was the Vice-provincial of his order on 23 March 1946 AD.
Metoděj Dominik’s Death
He died on 23 March 1959 AD in a Communist prison camp at Leopoldov, Trnavský kraj, Slovakia.
He died of pneumonia and was then buried in the prison graveyard-interred at the Redemptorist cemetery at the Greek-Catholic church in Michalovce on 17 October 1969 AD.
