Blessed’s Biography
Blessed Paul of Africa (Blessed Paul and James) converted after witnessing the martyrdom of Blessed Thomas Vives in Tunis, who bore with marvelous strength for the name of Christ. They wanted to be baptized and to dress the dress of the Mercedarian Order in which they persevered to the death despite the fact that they did not shed their blood as they would have wished to give greater praise to Christ.
The memorial is celebrates on April 11th.
