Saint’s Biography
Saint Agathon of Scete retired to the desert of Scete in Egypt, in 364 an austere Hermit. He worked with his own hands and sold his woven baskets in the markets of Alexandria, often giving them to the poorest. Agathon found a foreign traveler, ill and nurse him to health even worked to meet his expenses. He died in 370 AD in Scete, Egypt of natural causes.
