St. Alberic of Utrecht Biography
St. Alberic of Utrecht was the nephew of St. Gregory of Utrecht and a friend of Blessed Alcuin. He later served as a Benedictine monk in Utrecht, Netherlands. He also served as a prior to the Cathedral of Utrecht. Alberic was known for his broad knowledge in faith, his joy for living in Christ, and his zeal for bringing both to any who would listen.
In 775 AD, he served as the Bishop of Utrecht and reorganised the school of Utrecht while working to evangelize the pagan Teutons.
