Saint’s Biography
Saint Albert of Tournai was born in 1060 in Belgium. He received a good Christian education from his parents and was devoted almost from childhood. Albert spent his time in prayer. He was inspired by the ways of the hermit and immediately went to St. John at the monastery of Saint-Crespin in the diocese of Cambrai. He lived in the monastery for the last 22 years of his life.
Death
Albert died on Easter Sunday in 1140. His memorial day is April 7th.
