Biography

Saint Alexis Falconieri was one of the seven founders of the Servants of Mary and an uncle to Saint Juliana Falconieri. He was the son of Bernard Falconieri. Alexis later joined the praisers ofMary a group of the Blessed Virgin in Florence, Italy in the period of 1225 AD.

He received a vision of Mary on August 15, 1233. The other members of the Praisers of Mary were ordained but Alexis felt unworthy and chose to remain a lay brother.

He worked hard to provide the material and financial requirements of the congregation where he could also beg on the streets when he had no other sources of revenue. He assisted in the building of the Servite church in Cafaggio.
