St. Anthony Daniel Biography
St. Anthony Daniel was also known as Antoine Daniel. He joined the Jesuits in Rome, Italy on 1 October 1621. Appointed in 1629. Preacher to Canada in 1632, positioned at Cape Breton and Bias-d’or Lakes. Evangelist to the Huron at Ihonatiria from July 1634 until his passing. Established the main kid’s school in North America at Quebec in 1635. Killed simply outside the house of prayer wherein he had recently observed Mass.
