Biography
Saint Antimund of Thérouanne, a hermit in Gallia Belgica (modern northern France) in the early 6th century. Priest. Saint Remigius of Reims sent a missionary work and a father Adelbert to evangelize the Morini people in the area of modern Picardy in France. Christianity had returned to its pagan roots centuries before. The pagan priests opposed him and supported the continued worship of idols, but the people in the region showed interest and he converted many. First Bishop of Thérouanne in the Artois area of modern France, consecrated by Saint Remigius. Later, invasions eradicated his good work and in the 7th century, missionaries in the region had to start from scratch.
