Saint Auxentius of Bithynia Biography
Saint Auxentius of Bithynia was a career soldier and a guard to Emperor Theodosius the Younger. He was known to preach to his fellow guards. later, he left the service and became a hermit on Mount Oxia near Constantinople. Many people were attracted to his austerity and teaching. A community of nuns was formed at Trichinarion near his mountain.
