St. Baradates of Cyrrhus was a hermit inCyrrhus, Syria who wore animal skins and lived on whatever came to hand spent most of his time in prayer. Emperor Leo, I of Constantinople wrote to him for his thoughts on the Council of Chalcedon in 451 AD.
