St. Caesarius of Africa Biography
St. Caesarius of Africa was the deacon of an African church. During a visit to Italy, he witnessed a pagan celebration and objected to human sacrifice it involved. He was arrested for the interference for two years and then killed for his faith with Saint Julian.
