Saint’s Biography

Saint Caradoc was born once in the 11th century in Wales. He came from a wealthy family and as a young man; he lived at the court of King Rhys ap Tewdwr of South Wales (1077-93). He asked to look after the royal greyhounds but when he carelessly lost a dog, he also lost the king’s favor. After the incident, Caradoc started a new life opting to become a monk at Saint Teilo church.

Hobbies

He liked to play the Harp instrument.

Death

Caradoc died in St. Isells on April 13, 1124, of natural causes and buried in the St. David’s cathedral.
