St. Cybi of Caenarvon Biography
St. Cybi of Caenarvon is said to have been the son of St. Selevan and also a cousin to St. David of Wales. He became a hermit, a monk and later served as an abbot in his own abbey. He established the monastery of Caer Gybi at Holyhead, Wales which is located within the walls of the ancient Roman fort.
Cybi was a missionary bishop to the area around the monastery and a friend of Saint Seiriol. Many exaggerated stories grew up around him.
