Saint’s Biography
Saint Damian was born in of Italy. He was ordained bishop of Pavia, Italy in 680. He was a fierce opponent of Monothelitism and was known for his service to the poor and sick; they reported healing the leper with a kiss. He acted as a peacemaker between the King of Byzantine and Lombards.

He died in 710 of natural causes.
