St. Dubricius of Wales Biography
St. Dubricius of Wales was also known as Dubricius of Caerleon. He was related to St. Brychan of Brycheiniog and was one of the founders of monastic life in Wales. He established monasteries in Gwent and England with his main centres in Henllan and Moccas. He worked in conjunction with ST. Teilo of Llandaff and St. Samson of York who he appointed as abbot on Caldey Island.
He also served as a Bishop of Llandaff, Wales, consecrated in by St. Germanus of Auxerre and later became an archbishop of Caerleon, Wales a seat which was later taken by St. David of Wales.
