Saint Eckhart of Scheda was born early 12th century in Germany. He was born into a noble family as the last born. He was among a group of men who were sent from Cappenberg to Scheda (Scheida) at Fröndenberg an der Ruhr and Unna in Westfalen. They were sent to staff a new premonstraterens cloister there.
