Saint’s Biography
Saint Fortunatus of Vienne was born once in the 100’s. He was a priest, and along with his two deacons, Saint Achilles sent by the bishop Ireneus of Lyon to mission in Valence. After converting a large part of the pagan people through their preaching and miracles, Captain Cornelius arrested them.
They escape prison through the help of angels who released them to destroy the pagans idols. For their action, arrested again and their legs crushed and tortured on wheels and day and night exposed to suffocating gas. As they survived all the torture, they were beheaded.
