Saint’s Biography
Saint Fulbert of Chartres was born around 960 (between 952 and 962). Because he was a bright student, he was sent to study in the Benedictine monastery of Reims in northern France. Saint Fulbert was an advisor to Pope Sylvester II. After Pope Sylvester died, Fulbert returned to France where he was made canon and chancellor of the diocese of Chartres. In addition, he was responsible for the cathedral school in the city in 1007.
