Biography
Blessed Gregorio Díez Blanco was baptized on the day he was born and later confirmed in 1903. As a young man, he moved to Barcelona where he worked before marrying Paulina Diez Anidobro and had four children. Paulina died soon after on 24 March 1930 and his sister, Blessed Camila Diez Blanco moved in to help raise the children.
He was a close ally of Blessed Eliseo Moradillo Garcia and when the Spanish Civil war began, he hosted any religious who were hiding from the anti-Catholic regime. He even tried to rescue some arrested Christians which caught the attention of the regime leading to his arrest and martyrdom together with Eliseo and Camila.
