Saint’s Biography
Saint Guy of Auxerre was born in the 10th century near Sens, France. He studied at the cathedral school at Auxerre, France. Ordained a Priest in France. In 933 to 961, he was the bishop of Auxerre.
Guy built and restored church structures in his diocese and promoted devotion to the saints from the region. He also wrote Hymns. Guy was a man who tried to lead and help his people instead of commanding them as was often the case of the time.
Death
He died on January 6 961 in Auxerre, France of natural causes.
