St. Hypatius of Gangra Biography
St. Hypatius of Gangra was also known as Hypatia. He was the Bishop of Gangra, Paphlagonia, Turkey. Hypatius attended the council of Nicea where he defended the divinity of Christ. When he got back home, he was killed by a group of Novatian heretics who opposed his views.
