Saint’s Biography

St. Jacoba was born in the 12th century in Rome and was the sister of a count in Apulia. Saint Jacoba became an orphan and then lived in a small cottage in Greece as a monk. She pretended to be a man fled the house, and spent her life as a pilgrim to holy sites.

She died in 1220 and celebrated on April 1st.
