Blessed Jadwiga Karolina Zak was born on 27 December 1892 AD in Oswiecim, Malopolskie, Poland as Jadwiga Karolina Zak. She professed religious, joining the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth on 13 May 1911 AD, taking the name Maria Imelda of the Eucharistic Jesus. Jadwiga also moved to Nowogródek in 1936 AD. She was a school teacher. She was also noted for her intense spiritual life and for her spiritual leadership in the lay community. Jadwiga was one of the Martyrs of Nowogrodek.
